Komé and Miandoum Gathering Stations
Gathering stations play a key role in the oil production chain. They receive flows from field collectors and various pumping stations. Among them, the Komé Gathering Station (KGS) plays a central role. It is here that fluids are dehydrated, gas and sand are separated, and an emulsion with a water content reduced to approximately 10% is produced. This station also handles the treatment of extracted water and compresses the gas before transporting it to the Central Treating Facility (CTF) / Power Plant (PP) processing plants.
In parallel, fluids transported from the Miandoum Gathering Station (MGS) are also processed at Komé, where they serve as fuel to power the combustion turbine generators, thus maximizing energy efficiency. The water produced at the Komé and Miandoum stations is not simply discharged. They are reinjected into the reservoir using injection wells, also called discharge or pressure maintenance wells. This carefully controlled reinjection process reintroduces the treated water into the system. Injection is carried out under high pressure, ensured by high-performance pumps operating according to precise pressure and flow parameters, thus ensuring rigorous management of this resource.
The oil obtained from the Komé collection station is sent to the Central Treating Facility (CTF), also located in Komé, for another, more thorough separation step.
